The Auxiliary of the UTU is an organization of persons of all ages (16 years and over) that are related to members of the UTU or UTU Auxiliary.

Membership in the Auxiliary will bring an association with people of similar interests. It will help you to better understand the work of the UTU and the importance of the union to your spouse or relative's job.
The Auxiliary of the UTU is nonsectarian and nonpartisan. As a member of a subordinate lodge in the United States and Canada, you will have an opportunity to participate in community affairs and become informed on important legislation affecting railroad and bus families.

The winner of Cleveland Lodge #5's raffle drawing for a handyman tool-stool kit was Jayme O'Neill, with a consolation prize awarded to UTU Billing Auditor Paula Grant. The raffle raised $184 for the lodge's Smile Train, which seeks to improve the lives of children. (09/23/09)

The winners of the two quilts raffled to raise money for the Auxiliary Scholarship Fund are: Curtis Rhoades of Meza, Ariz. -- Grandma's Flower Garden Quilt drawn at the San Francisco regional meeting and Elizabeth Garcia of Castaic, Calif. -- "Bargello" Quilt drawn at the New Orleans regional meeting. The winner of the Salt Lake City Wasatch Lodge #136 Rose Rag Quilt raffle drawn at the New Orleans region meeting was UTU Washington State Legislative Director Larry McKillip. All proceeds collected from the Rose Rag Quilt go to the UTU Political Action Committee (PAC), Legislative Director Kathryn Hastings reported. (08/24/09)

In an effort to educate its members and their families about the dangers of diseases carried by mosquitoes, ticks and other insects, the Auxiliary of the UTU is providing information about vector borne diseases such as the West Nile Virus, Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Tularemia and Ehrlichiosis, as well as methods of preventing the occurrence of these diseases.
