Golf tournament The Memphis regional meeting golf tournament will be held Sunday, July 17, at the Mirimichi, 6195 Woodstock Cuba Rd. in Millington, Tenn. Phone (901) 259-3800. It will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The cost is $80 per person, which includes greens fees for 18 holes of golf, half a cart, range balls, prizes and bus transportation from and to The Memphis Peabody. Tours Through the Gates of Graceland Sunday, July 22 Upon arrival at Graceland, guests will be shuttled to the entrance. The journey through the mansion includes the decorated, funky styles of the Jungle Room, racquetball court and Meditation Garden where Elvis rests. Guests will visit the Automobile Museum and see more than 33 vehicles owned by Elvis, including the famous Pink Cadillac. You will be provided with a voucher for lunch at the Chrome Grill, an all-American restaurant located right on the Graceland Property. National Civil Rights Museum Monday, July 23 Travel by motor coach to the National Civil Rights Museum, located at the Lorraine Motel, the site of Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination. Its collections, exhibitions and educational programs chronicle key episodes of the American civil rights movement. After the tour, you will travel to Alfred’s on Beale for a traditional Memphis lunch. |
