Alternate U.S. National Legislative Director
Former North Dakota State Legislative Director John J. Risch serves as the UTU’s alternate national legislative director.
Risch, a member of UTU Local 1344 at Mandan, N.D., works out of the UTU’s legislative office on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
A locomotive engineer, Risch had been the UTU state legislative director in North Dakota, serving from 1985 to 2009.
He is a graduate of Bismarck State College and holds a bachelor’s degree in labor studies from Antioch University.
