New Jersey is holding two elections 2103. One is the special election for the U.S. Senate, which is Oct. 16th. The deadline to register is Sept. 25. The regular general election (governor/legislature/referendums) will be Nov. 5. The deadline to register is Oct. 14.
In Virginia, the statewide election is on Nov. 5. The deadline for voter registration in both states is Oct. 14.

Once you are registered to vote, you may want apply for an absentee ballot. Workers in the transportation industry never know when they may be called to service. If you want to be sure your vote is counted, applying for an absentee ballot is the way to go.
